LOS ALTOS, CA – March 13, 2019 – Trade show exhibits provider Iconic Displays recently awarded local high school graduate Korrey Housel with their 2019 Autism Scholarship. The $750 scholarship was awarded based on a variety of factors; but most notably, a 600-word essay about how they planned to make the world a better place. Housel’s application and essay stood out from the crowd; he has since been finalizing his school choice.
“I have applied and been accepted to several colleges and universities, and while still reviewing my options, I intend to go to St. Martin’s if financially feasible,” explained Housel.
Other scholarship requirements included student eligibility with an accredited institution, letters of recommendation, a proven history of community service, and an intent to pursue a collegiate education. Applications were accepted from December 31, 2018, to January 17, 2019.
