Chicago, IL – With 150 million Americans drinking coffee every day, the lines at local coffee shops and cafes can get long. A new feature on the Brewpass app solves that problem by letting coffee drinkers order ahead and pick up their coffee as soon as they walk in the cafe.

The “order ahead” feature joins a suite of technology-based services Brewpass offers to independent coffee shops and their customers, all with the aim of bolstering this beloved industry. With larger chains drawing in customers with their apps, convenience, and low prices through purchasing leverage, Brewpass realized that independent coffee shops needed a similar layer of service.
Brewpass offers its own consumer app to local cafes, which now also includes the “order ahead” feature for coffee shop customers. In addition, Brewpass adds a loyalty price incentive of a 10% discount on all orders. For an even bigger savings, Brewpass offers monthly membership plans ranging from a $1 a cup per day plan up to an unlimited coffee plan.
The app’s success at increasing independent coffee shop visits has been considerable. Typically, customers double their patronage once they start using the Brewpass app. Tony K. in Chicago says the app has been a real gamechanger for him. “I work around the corner from a café that I hardly ever went to. But since Brewpass, I stop in every day and it’s my favorite place.”
